Take your open water swimming to the next level with one of the sport’s most respected coaches in a truly world-class environment.
Whether you’re preparing for a triathlon, seeking to conquer open water challenges, or simply wanting to boost your swim confidence, Dan Bullock’s Open Water Swim Camp at Club La Santa offers an experience that goes far beyond traditional swim training.

Why Choose Our Open Water Swim Camp:
Many swimmers approach open water swimming with apprehension. It can seem intimidating, especially for those used to the controlled conditions of a swimming pool. The camp addresses these challenges head-on, providing a comprehensive approach to open water swimming that builds skills, confidence, and technique.
The mild year-round climate of Lanzarote makes it the perfect place to try out open water swimming, whereas opportunities for this are limited in the UK due to colder temperatures and rougher seas making it far more difficult to learn safely and develop confidence in the practice.

Key Benefits of the Camp:
Personalised Coaching
Unlike generic swim programmes, this camp offers tailored coaching that meets you exactly where you are. Whether you’re a nervous beginner or an experienced swimmer looking to refine your technique, Dan and his team create a supportive environment that ensures individual progress.
Cutting-Edge Training Techniques
Drawing from his background in competitive swimming and triathlon, Dan implements innovative training methods. This includes underwater video analysis, technique breakdown, and progressive skill-building exercises. Participants get real-time feedback and valuable insights to improve their swimming.
Exceptional Location and Facilities
Club La Santa in Lanzarote provides the perfect training ground. With its very own lagoon, and varied swimming environments, participants can gradually build their confidence. The resort offers a safe, controlled space to develop open water skills before venturing into more challenging conditions.

Dan Bullock: From Pool to Pioneer
Dan’s journey began in North-East London, where he quickly emerged as a promising young swimmer. Scholarships to the prestigious Millfield School and later a U.S. university propelled him to the Olympic trials. But it was in coaching that Dan found his true calling.
In the early 2000s, he co-founded Swim For Tri with his sister, spotting a major gap in triathlon and open water swim coaching. They became early adopters of video analysis and technique focused training – methods now widely used in the sport.

What to Expect in the Camp
A typical camp combines technical instruction, practical training, and confidence-building exercises:
- Morning pool sessions focusing on technique
- Underwater video analysis
- Wetsuit comfort and adaptation training
- Progressive open water skill development
- Sea swimming experiences
- Small group coaching with experienced instructors
The camp isn’t just about swimming faster – it’s about understanding your body, improving efficiency, and building the confidence to tackle open water challenges.
Who Should Attend?
The camp welcomes:
- Triathletes looking to improve swim performance
- Open water swimming enthusiasts
- Swimmers looking to build confidence
- Athletes of all skill levels

Whether you’re training for your first triathlon or looking to push your open water performance, you’ll find a supportive, challenging, and fun environment.
Many participants turn the camp into a full-blown training holiday. Enjoy the sunshine, explore Lanzarote, and take advantage of Club La Santa’s incredible facilities. It’s no wonder over 50% of attendees are returnees – swimmers who come back year after year for the coaching, camaraderie, and unbeatable experience.
