Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon take up a special place in Club La Santa’s heart, and these challenging sports have always formed an integral part of our spirit. Take up your own personal challenge, test your endurance as well as your strength.

The challenging landscape, with inspiring views, the clean waters and the warm climate make Club La Santa the perfect place to train in each discipline of triathlon.
Triathlon at Club La Santa: For beginners and those less confident in open water swimming, Club La Santa has its own saltwater lagoon, with no strong currents or waves to worry about. We also have 3 x 50 metre pool, and running track available in the complex.
You will find a variety of on and off road running routes around the complex that cover different surfaces and terrain and some excellent quiet roads taking you to some of the most beautiful parts of the island. From novice athletes to professionals, this island will test your endurance while inspiring you to get the most out of your training here. Many national teams and professional triathletes choose Club La Santa as the perfect place for training in the pre-race season.
Every week the Green Team arranges social triathlon, duathlon and aquathlon races. All guests are welcome to participate for free, its a good chance to try something new if you’ve never participated in one before.
Club La Santa’s annual Duathlon and Triathlon competitions such as the Volcano Triathlon, the International Duathlon and the Lanzarote Ironman are recognized by participants from all over the world at all levels. These events are well organized and give you the opportunity to compete in a fun and friendly atmosphere. ‘For more information please see the Event Races page.
While we offer instruction in the separate disciplines of swimming and running, we do not currently offer any free instructions in triathlon, duathlon or aquathlon.
However, every year international training camps are organized for duathletes and triathletes conducted by some of the best triathletes in the world, including Bert Jammaer, Stephan Vuckovic and Ain-Alar Juhanson. There are camps catering for each level, from the Beginners Triathlon Camp through to the Ironman Lanzarote Pre-race Camp, and also camps specifically for women. The Duathlon takes place every Monday morning, while the Aquathlon takes place every Monday afternoon, and the Mini-triathlon is held every Wednesday morning. All are free to enter which you can do by signing up in Sports Booking. Please see the Weekly Programme for more information.
Whether you are just starting out in the world of Triathlon, aiming to try to complete your first Ironman ever, or if you are aiming to improve your time at your next Ironman competition, our tailor made training sessions can help. If you are trying to get in shape by combining swimming, biking and running, at any level, your Triathlon/Duathlon instructor can give you lots of inspiration and useful training guidance, helping you to reach your goals and advising you how to train more without getting injured. Individual guests can only request Personal Instructions upon arrival in Sports Booking due to limited availability. Groups must make a request through the Sales Office or Groups Department in advance of their arrival, as there are a limited number of instructors available.
