Running at Club La Santa
Enjoy running on your own or take part in our organised training sessions, the daily morning run or one of our many running events.
Train on our World-Class Running Track
Club La Santa’s top-quality, professional athletics stadium is conveniently located at the heart of the resort. Here you can find 4 lanes for 110m sprint, 4 lanes 400m for athletes and an 450m outer track for leisure running.
The running tracks at Club La Santa’s stadium are divided according to different types of races and running shoes. On the four inner lanes, we’ve laid state-of-the-art Conica CONIPUR Vmax running surface that allows you to reach faster times and reduce stress on your joints. Our running tracks are suited for everyone, particularly professional athletes.
At the far end you will find a wide track for recreational running. Here, the running surface has a maximum shock absorption of 20%, which is easy on your joints when training in ordinary running shoes made for asphalt or trails.
Morning Runs & Walk
Start your day with our Green Team and other guests for a morning run around the track or lagoon. Our morning runs follow on from our 8am traditional Morning Gymnastics and it´s a great way to kick start your day. The Green Team will pace the runs for 3km (6 min/km), 4km (5.5 min/km) and 5km (5 min/km) runs around the lagoon or you can choose to stay on the track and enjoy our 2km walk/run at your own pace, great for all the family.
If you have a thirst for competition, we offer two running races per week. On Saturday afternoon you can choose between 5 and 10 km race and Tuesday morning you can elect to run either 7, 14 or 21km.
If you want to improve you running speed and technique, then this could be the activity for you. This session focuses on the concept of running being a skill that requires technical development. You will be guided through basic running form and technique, incorporating strength and coordination exercises to make you a better and injury-free runner. This session is suitable for runners of all levels, from beginners to advanced and includes theoretical information and practical exercises.
Off-Road & Hill Runs
In addition to our daily morning runs, we also offer longer guided off-road and hill runs of 8 – 12k. Pacing varies between 5 & 6 min/km depending on the run and you get to enjoy the stunning views the trails surrounding Club La Santa have to offer.
Improve your running technique and minimise your risk of injuries with a running video analysis (1 person for 60 minutes – €99).
We will video you running, review the footage and give you tips, techniques and exercises to help you improve your running speed and efficiency and avoid injuries.
