Club La Santa has created a new dedicated Kids & Teens department to further enhance its free Play Time children’s activity programme.  This includes introducing activities for teenagers for the first time.

A team of experienced fitness instructors, with a background in education, have been recruited to help run the new programme.

As well as Play Time in the mornings and Fun Time in the afternoons for 3-10-year olds, there will be Young Time sessions in the afternoons for 10-15-year olds. Kids under 3 years are welcome to use the Play Time facilities (accompanied by a parent) too.

Play Time is a supervised morning activity club for 3-10-year olds, with a range of activities including games. Fun Time is an afternoon activity programme for 3-10-year olds with activities split into two age groups which challenge and educate children through group activities. Young Time, for 10-15 year olds, is a new initiative which will include various teambuilding activities providing challenges and allowing new friendships to be made.

Claire Dyson, Head of Club La Santa UK said: “More than 3,500 children take part in our free Play Time children’s club every year and it’s always popular. To introduce activities specifically designed for older children is great as it will encourage teenagers to make new friends and enjoy the social side of sport. Hopefully this will motivate them to continue being active when they return home.  Regular guests will see changes, but old favourites like the Treasure Hunt and Olympic Day, which will have a new medal ceremony, will stay on the programme.”

Nadia Kohsel, a qualified teacher who has been appointed to the newly created role of Kids and Teens manager at Club La Santa said: “We have decided to expand and develop the Play Time concept to involve a wider age range of children and improve the activities offered.  We’re making them more age specific, incorporating more interaction between the children, and motivating the children to be more active. I have been coming to Club La Santa myself since I was two years old and have many happy childhood memories of holidays here. As a team we’re really committed to providing the best possible experience for our young guests who return year after year to the resort.”
