HELP SAVE THE UK CHARITIES - THE 2.6 CHALLENGE

This year with huge events being cancelled, many of these charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when vulnerable members of society need them most; thousands of staff have been placed on furlough and many charities will not survive the next few months…because of this the London Marathon group have put together a charity incentive – The 2.6 challenge.

The Virgin Money London Marathon alone, which should have taken place on Sunday 26 April, is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019

What is the 2.6 challenge?

The 2.6 challenge is a one day event, all you need to do is dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it on Sunday April 26 and donate to your chosen charity.

What is our team doing and why?

Our team here at Club La Santa UK, Sports Tours International and Sports Travel are taking part in two  mass Zoom calls where we will all have fun for two minutes and six seconds each completing a different activity and donating to our chosen charities.

Here’s what some our team had to say:

Ross will ride 26.2 kilometres on his indoor trainer.

I’m donating  to Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Becks
