Example Programme

Day 1:

Arrive at Club la Santa Lanzarote today. This afternoon, meet at the track for mobility session and pre-run warm up, then choose from guided runs (3K) or beach runs around the lagoon (6K) in the evening. Finish with a post-run stretching session. Later this evening, meet in the conference centre for a camp introduction to discuss your programme, meet the coaching team, and collect goody bags

Day 2:

08.30 – 08.45 Meet at the track for morning mobility drills and skills with pre-run warm up

08.45 – 09.45 AM Run Session – glorious scenic 5k and 8k trail runs and post run stretching session

10.00 – 16.00 Free time (physiotherapy and massage slots available)

15.00 – 15.45 Meet in the conference centre for a coaching talk, running biomechanics and avoidance of injury

16.00 – 16.20 Meet at the track for PM mobility drills, example of activation drills to increase range and mobility

16.20 – 17.20 PM Run Session, technique assessments/drills and video analysis + post session stretching

20.30 – 21.30 Meet in the Green Bar for a technique review with coaches, bring smart phones or ipads for instant downloads

Day 3:

08.30 – 08.45 Meet at the track for morning activation sessions, drills and skills with pre-run warm up

08.45 – 09.45 AM Run Session – steady morning run ‘Volcano’ trail run 8km and post run stretching session

10.00 – 15.00 Free time (physiotherapy and massage slots available)

15.00 – 15.45 Meet at Laguna Aerobics Arena for strength and conditioning 1, core strength & stability for runners, (injury prevention & prehab)

16.45 – 17.15 Meet at the track for a key session warm up, example of warm up 5k and 10km races

17.15 – 18.45 PM Run Session, inclusion in the 5k or 10k weekly road race

Day 4:

08.30 – 08.45 Meet at the track for mobilisation after long run day, easy exercises to ease tension and help loosen.

08.45 – 09.45 AM Run Session, gentle beach run 5k

10.00 – 16.00 Free time (physiotherapy and massage slots available)

15.00 – 15.45 Meet at the Laguna Aerobics Arena for yoga for runners, light session based on loosening and relaxing.

16.00 – 17.00 PM Run Session, gradual hill repeats on coastal trails, hold form and technique video session

Day 5:

08.30 – 08.45 Meet at the track for morning activation sessions, drills and skills with pre-run warm up

08.45 – 09.45 AM Run Session, steady morning run 3k, 6k or 8k route options, plus post run stretching

10.00 – 15.00 Free Time (physiotherapy and massage slots available)

15.00 – 15.45 Meet at Laguna Aerobics Arena for strength & conditioning, core strength and stability for runners

16.00 – 17.00 Meet at the pool, PM Aqua run session with Robin Brew (Aqua belts provided)

18.00 – 19.00 Meet in the Conference Centre for a talk on Marathon racing advice and considerations, followed by advice on nutritional strategies

Day 6:

09.30 – 09.45 Meet at the track, pre-race warm up, example comprehensive program

10.00 – 12.00 Meet at track. Race day, free time entry into the Vince Regan 12k Ridge Run, a mixture of road and trails with one of the most spectacular views in Lanzarote

12.00 – 15.00 Free time physiotherapy/massage slots available

15.00 – 15.45 Meet at Laguna Aerobics Arena for a stretch & relax session to loosen off

20.30 – 22.00 Meet in the green bar for a social evening prize giving, camp video and feedback

Day 7:

08.30 – 08.45 Meet at the track for mobility, easy relax and loosen off

08.45 – 09.45 AM Run Session, run with a view, gentle run taking in the scenery

10.00 – 15.00 Depart La Santa
