Learn new skills and reinforce old ones. Our team of top coaches will teach you to understand the importance of good body balance, relaxed breathing and efficient technique to improve your overall swimming.  We will focus on your individual needs to help you really improve your stroke and achieve your personal goals.


During the week you will receive full instruction and refinement for:
–  Freestyle
–  Breaststroke
–  Backstroke
–  Butterfly
–  Training skills for Open Water Swimming
–  Timesaving starts and turns
–  Dry –land Training and Strength & Conditioning

Learn new skills and reinforce old skills. We will teach you to understand the importance of good body balance, relaxed breathing and efficient technique. The course will improve your swim fitness by using different muscle groups. With the introduction and variation in workouts, including swimming fast and swimming easy.

We will cater for all abilities, but I must emphasise this is not, ‘A learn to Swim Training Camp’. You must be able to swim at least 200m in at least two of the above strokes, one of which must be Front Crawl


Friday 27th Nov 2020:

Meet and Greet at Conference Centre

AM: [10-12]   2hr Swim set in lanes of ability – Technique – Body Balance /Breathing

PM: [15-17]     2hr Swim Workout [Endurance – Frontcrawl and Backstroke]

18:30 Meet & Greet Late Arrivals Timanfaya or Famara Conference centre.

Saturday 28th November :

AM: [10-12] 2hrs Swim Set [Frontcrawl & Butterfly] Importance of Kick

PM:   [15-17] 2hr Swim Set  [Swim Start and Turns] followed by workout

Sunday 29th November :

AM:  10-12   2hrs Swim Set: Introducing Speed Play workouts

PM:   15-17 2hrs Swim Set [Open Water Techniques and Skills]

Monday 30th November :

AM:  10-12  2hr Swim Set:  Timed Swims – swim starts & turns competition rules

PM:  12:30-13:30 Laguna   Dry Land training, Strength & Conditioning

18:30hrs  Lecture Conference Centre.

Tuesday 1st Dec:

AM: 8-9am] Option – Open Water swimming in the Lagoon or

10-11am Short Sharp workouts.

PM:  15-17 Swim Set:  Pace Control

Wednesday: 2nd Dec:

AM: 10-12   2hrs Swim Set –Full Squad Session with competitive starts and turns

PM: 15-17   2hrs Swim Gala [Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly

PM: 19:30hrs   Swim Camp Dinner El Lago

Thursday: 3rd Dec:

AM: 10-11:30am  Final Swim Squad Training

Rose Jones

has over 40 years of experience in Swim Instructing and Coaching. Over the last 25 years she has been actively involved with Coaching  Swimming and Triathlon.

She loves being actively involved with developing, mentoring, motivating everyone and anyone that she has contact with. Nothing inspires her more, than to see athletes overcome their fears in the quest to cross the finish line. (There are so many rewards and emotions to coaching that I love and thrive on, Rose)

She has the following qualifications ASA Swim Coach, ASA Swim Teacher, ASA Aquafit Teacher, British Triathlon Coach, British Triathlon Technical Official, Athletes Coach, Sports Therapist & Nutrition, Exercise and Wellbeing Advisor, which has helped her to work and train the many athletes of all abilities and nationalities coming to the Complex.

Apart from coaching, Rose has represented GB Internationally at Olympic and Long Course Distance Triathlon. She has also held the National Age group Middle distance Triathlon Champion and National Age group Aquathlon Champion.


The price for the week is 130€ including all activities in the programme, a t-shirt and the celebratory dinner.

Places are limited, early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment. Please note that the camp is restricted to guests staying at Club La Santa.
