MARATHON TRAINING CAMP WITH ROBIN BREW

Join Robin Brew and his team for a Marathon Training Camp to prepare you for the 2020 spring marathon season.

30th January – 6th February 2020

Come and join us on the Robin Brew Sports Warm Weather Marathon Training Camp in conjunction with Club La Santa for a fully loaded Marathon Warm Weather Training Camp in the sun.

With a great coaching team delivering invaluable marathon preparation training, you can be assured of a warm welcome and a highly rewarding and specific programme of activities bespoke for marathon runners preparing for important races.  You will love the organised daily run sessions of varying distances (with aid stations on longer runs over 10k), track sessions, skills and drills sessions, tempo runs and practice races, which all begin with a structured pre-run mobility session and finish with a post-run active recovery and stretching session. In addition, timetabled into the training camp will be yoga & pilates sessions for runners, functional strength and injury prevention training. The key workshop sessions will ensure your race day performance is optimised with advice on running technique, pre-race and race day nutrition, tapering and pacing. Every course member will receive a video analysis of their running technique highlighting areas that are most likely to lead to improvements and longer-term injury prevention. Robin Brew Sports has been running International training and coaching camps for more than 3 decades and have a wealth of experience in the organisation and delivering outstanding coaching. Whatever your ability level, or experience you will find the Warm Weather Marathon Training Camp a valuable and hugely enjoyable experience and likely to put you on the start line in the shape of your life.

15:00-15:45     Meet at the Laguna Aerobics Arena

Strength & Conditioning 1: Core strength & stability for runners (injury prevention – pre hab)

16:45-17:15     Meet at the Track

17:15-18:45     PM Run Session: inclusion in the 5k or 10k weekly road race

Tuesday 4th    February

RACE DAY: the Vince Regan 12k Ridge Run

A mixture of road and trails with one of the most spectacular views in Lanzarote

15:00-15:45     Meet at the Laguna Aerobics Arena

Stretch & Relax: Loosen off session

20:30-22:00     Meet in the Green Bar

Social evening: prize giving, camp video and feedback

Wednesday 5 th February

08:45-09:45     AM Run Session: glorious scenic 5k & 8k trail runs + post run stretching

Coaching Talk: Running biomechanics and the avoidance of injuries

16:00-16:20     Meet at the Track

PM Mobility Drills: example of activation drills to increase range and mobility

Mobility, easy relaxed loosen off

08:45-09:45     AM Run Session: run with a view – gentle loosen off trail run taking in the scenery
