Located on the northern edge of the Canary Islands off the northwest coast of Africa, the IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote boasts a breathtaking course that takes in some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. The race is shaping up to be a must-do event on the IRONMAN 70.3 circuit.
Swim Course, 1.9 km (1 lap) Cut off 1h 10min.
The swim takes place in the safe lagoon in front of Club La Santa. The water temperature is around 22 degrees.
Bike Course, 90.1 km (1 lap) Cut off 5h 45min.
This course challenges athletes with strong winds and covers the north part of the island. Athletes will pass through the surf village of Famara with its impressive cliffs and views of La Graciosa Island; towards the picturesque old capital of Teguise; and back to the northern coast via the stunning 12km climb up Tabayesco (550m).
Run Course, 21.1 km (3 laps) Cut off 8h 30min.
The heat will be the main challenge on this fast course. Enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean and soak up the atmosphere with the support from the spectators lining the run in La Santa village and at Club La Santa.

Prize Money and Qualifying Slots
The IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote is a qualifying race for the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships. 50 Age Group slots will be distributed according to the number of athletes in each group, guaranteeing at least one slot for each category.
A total prize purse of $25,000 will be divided between the top 6 men and women in the Professional category.
