Ben Price, a former national junior triathlon champion and has competed at Ironman as a pro for during his 20 years. Since his professional days he has been involved in coaching of swimming, biking and running at Club La Santa and other venues.
Ben said: “Club La Santa would definitely be the best place to prepare for the Children with Cancer UK Swim Serpentine with its three open air 50 meter pools and a salt water lagoon all with in a five minute walk! You’re not going to get better facilities anywhere else in the world. “
Dan has been a coach since 1990, holding qualifications with the ASA, BTF and the World Open Water Swim Association.
Dan said: “For over 10 years Swim For Tri have been offering lessons in the Serpentine so are uniquely qualified to now have the opportunity to bring all these open water skills together and help those undertaking their first Swim Serpentine event in Hyde Park.
Swim For Tri also go back a long way with CLS, it was here that I prepared as a club swimmer before heading to the US on a swim scholarship in 1989. I then trained as a Triathlete at the facility in the late 90s. Since then the relationship has grown with Swim For Tri launching the first open water camp nearly 10 years ago. We’re very excited to be partnering with Children with Cancer UK Swim Serpentine and giving swimmers the opportunity to train in Lanzarote.”

Colin Hill, Swim Director of the Children with Cancer UK Swim Serpentine “Club La Santa is without exaggeration one of my favourite swim places in the world. It doesn’t matter what ability of swimmer you are, when you at Club La Santa you feel like an elite athlete. The resort is the perfect environment for training with three 50 meter pools, great coaching for different levels and a nice lagoon to practise your open water swimming. On top of that is a multitude of different yoga, gym, run (or almost any sport you can think of) sessions you can join. Of course you almost guaranteed warm weather, which is perfect for taking a break and relaxing beside the pool instead of only training in it! If you want to improve your swim technique as well as your fitness then Club La Santa is in my opinion the best place for you to visit.”
