16th – 22nd February 2018
The camp is designed to cater for all abilities from novice to the serious racing club cyclist. Ideally, to get the most out of your bike weeks, you should have some experience of cycling and a certain level of fitness.
The routes will vary both in length and difficulty, taking you to the far south, through the fascinating Fire Mountains and up to the north, with stunning views of the neighbouring island of La Graciosa. You will have the opportunity to challenge yourself with steep climbs up to Femes (a climb out of category) and the 10km long Tabayesco mountain climb. On the longer rides, we will stop for a sandwich and drinks.
Geoff and the guest riders will be available throughout the two weeks to offer guidance and talk to you about planning your training programme once you return home. This may include power and weight training to include in your programme in our Fitness centre. Geoff won his first UK National Championship in 1963 and has worked at the top level ever since – he can still cover 200m in less than 12 seconds, on a good day! You will see the team around the resort and are welcome to aproach them for a chat and to quiz them on their cycling knowledge.
Camp Registration and travel arrangements
You can book the bike week through the contact form on this page.
The camp is restricted to guests staying at Club La Santa during the event. Pre-registration is required as we have a limited number of participants. The price for the one week is 130 Euros, or 180 Euros for two weeks, including daily bike rides of various distances, races, talks, social activities, refreshments for the longer rides, a t-shirt and dinner. Event weeks are restricted to guests staying at Club La Santa.
