In the Bike Centre we do everything possible to give our guests the ultimate biking experience. If you prefer to go out biking on your own, we are happy to assist you with excellent advice and can recommend various routes, tailored to your ability.

The weekly Green Team programme offers a full range of guided bike tours for free. The tours suit all levels of ability, from very basic beginner’s tours to our advanced tour. The bike tours are either on mountain bikes in the challenging mountain and desert terrain or on racer bikes.

PLUS

You can also hire your personal PLUS biking coach, who will give you professional advice on all aspects of cycling.

The PLUS instructor will work out your personal training programme, which will be especially designed for your needs. A heart rate monitor test in the Test Centre gives you additional information on your fitness.

Famous cyclists

The Club La Santa biking weeks attract many famous cyclists and enthusiasts, all determined to improve their performances. The weeks offer the participants a varied programme with many different bike rides over short and long distances.

The tours are suitable for everybody, from the experienced cyclist to the beginner. During the week several small races and competitions will be held. This is the perfect opportunity to meet other bike enthusiasts in a social environment and to train with the celebrities in the perfect climate and terrain of Lanzarote.

Bike Centre

Club La Santa’s Bike Centre stocks more than 100 bikes. The bikes should be booked in advance.

You can borrow everything – racing bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes, children’s bikes and baby joggers. Children’s seats for adult bikes are also available. Our Cannondale racing bikes and mountain bikes are available in a full range of sizes. If you want to try something we have tandems that can be used at a small charge.

For the more serious bikers it is possible to hire a Cannondale SIX13/carbon frame road bike. These bikes should be pre-booked.

BIKE HELMETS
Please note that as from 1st May 2004, the Spanish law states that all clients must wear a cycle helmet, whilst cycling both on and off road on the Island of Lanzarote. Clients that are taking their own bike must take their own cycle helmet. As bike helmets are only provided for the hire bikes at Club La Santa.

BIKE/EXTRA EQUIPMENT CARRIAGE
If you are taking your own bicycles, windsurfs and golf clubs they will be classed as excess luggage. Such items are normally charged from £35 per item, payable upon check-in at the airport, and are subject to aircraft load on the day. Some airlines allow you to pre-book your bikes prior to travel via credit card, please call our reservations department and we will be happy to give you the relevant number you will need to call.
