Witches, ghosts, monsters….
Posted: Wednesday November 19, 2008
Scary creatures and awesome decoration disrupted Club La Santa last week. Halloween was celebrated and CLS’s atmosphere moved into a creepy mood.
Lots of special Halloween activities and shows gave the guests and Club La Santa some great days from 27th of October to 4th of November.
Kick-off was on Monday, 27th of October, where all children could make their own Halloween decorations. Play Time was transformed into a really scary location with lots of pumpkins, spiders’ webs, skeletons…. ready for the next Halloween events that followed…

Different than usual, the Play Time kids didn’t play their normal games like hide-and-seek. No, after they had decorated their playground on the previous day, they played special Halloween games. Little ghosts had to be found and hide-and seek was played in a completely new way due to monster masks. The children’s Halloween Disco in the evening took place with an amazing participation. Many kids came in fancy dress and the CLS Arena was decorated fittingly. “We’ve never had such a huge participation in our weekly children’s Disco and it’s really great that so many kids are dressed up,” said Entertainment Manager Joanne enthusiastically. All kids received special “Halloween shots”, danced the “Monster Mash Dance” and played funny Halloween games on the evening.

Those who forget their Halloween costumes at home got the opportunity to make their own ones on Wednesday at Play Time. Colourful masks, witches hats and capes were made in order for everybody to be well-prepared for “trick-or-treat”. But before this, the Children&Guest Show with special Halloween dances to Michael Jackson’s Thriller and the Monster Mash followed. Its rehearsal in the afternoon was much more scary than usual and all participants were looking forward to show their performances. Their efforts were rewarded with thunderous applause and so, another successful part of the CLSs’ Halloween events was celebrated.

“Trick or treating” as the must-have Halloween activity was done on Thursday. Every kid wore their own costume, either brought with them from home or made at Play Time the day before. It was the most popular activity by a mile and made for many happy children faces. After they had met at Play Time, they went to the reception, fitness centre, sports booking and the bike centre to collect as many treats as possible. Afterwards, their big hauls were eaten up during watching the movie “Casper the Friendly Ghost”.

In order that all parents and other adults could celebrate Halloween at Club La Santa as well, a special Halloween Karaoke and Disco took place on Friday evening. This year, almost everybody appeared in fancy costumes, including the CLS Arena’s staff. Guests in costumes were presented with a little present and had the opportunity to win the Halloween Fancy Dress Competition. The celebrations continued into the early morning hours and the various monsters danced until dropping.

As the children’s Disco was so successful, they kept the same theme for a second a week afterwards with the same great number of children who wanted to play all the funny Halloween games and of course not forgetting the “Monster Mash Dance”!
A big thank you to everybody who joined in the Halloween celebrations and especially to Joanne, Entertainment Manager, Kelly the Play Time Manager and the Play Time team for its great organization and smooth flow.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed Halloween at Club La Santa! We are looking forward to continue this year’s success in 2009!!!
