The Card Club Family

Once upon a time five male friends agreed on founding a Card Club. They played whist and had fun. In the beginning (before the children arrived) the wives joined the club as well. Not to play cards, but to talk! After a while the women decided to meet without the men. There might have been too many female subjects…. and they left the men with the possibility to discuss their subjects!

One by one the children arrived. The first was born in 1992 and the last in 2003. Nine children in all. The Card Club Family met at several New Year’s eves, birthdays, weddings, christenings, funerals and went on vacations together.

The five men played cards frequently and all of them lost money of course. But the winner did not collect the money. No, they paid the amounts into an account. Now and then they spent some money on different kinds of activities, but once the possibility of going on a longer foreign vacation was discussed. One couple was at Club La Santa in 1996 and thought the place would be a perfect destination for a large group of people, all interested in some kind of sport.

A fixed amount was saved every month, and September 2001 the first trip to CLS became a reality. They spent a week there, and were enthusiastic!

4½ years later the Card Club Family spent Eastern at Club La Santa – again for a week. As the first time: a success. But something was missing: More time!

Fortunately something could be done about that: Two weeks were booked for the summer 2008. And then peace appeared. There would be plenty of time to join known as well as unknown activities.

Nobody got disappointed. They had the most beautiful vacation at Club La Santa!! Children as well as adults

The Club La Santa staff deserves praise, because without their efforts they would not have had this wonderful experience.

Therefore the Card Club Family would like to say that:

Everybody was challenged and had fun these fourteen days. Somebody could not avoid the pain some days, but they kept going on.

Club La Santa offers activities for all

The Green Team instructors are very competent and know how to challenge, but also to take care of the participant’s physical limits

All staff is very service minded

The pool area is paradise to the children

The children moves safely in the buildings, and the parents feel good about that

The facilities are great and the entertainment as well

The outdoor areas are nice and clean

The atmosphere of CLS and the area around makes out the perfect frame for an active vacation combined with relaxation.

That is the reason why they intend to visit Club La Santa in 2010
