Sarah Storey makes Commonwealth Cycling Team
Posted: Saturday August 28, 2010
What a few weeks for Sarah Storey! It’s just been announced that she’s made the English Commonwealth Cycling Team.
She will only be the second Paralympian ever to represent the country in an able-bodied competition.
The first was archer Danielle Brown.
Sarah will join up with the squad of 20 cyclists heading to Dehli in October. Since switching to cycling, she’s won 2 Golds in Beijing and last week won 2 more Golds at the UCI World Paracycling Road Championships in Canada.
Some of the team, including Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton have opted to miss the Games to concentrate on the European Championships in November.
