Olympian Gunn Rita Dahle trains at Club La Santa

Norwegian World and Olympic mountain biker, Gunn Rita Dahle has paid us a visit as part of her training regime.

She said she wished she’d been able to stay longer to take part in the 2Stage MTB race at the end of January:

“It is a pity I didn’t know about the 2 Stage MTB race, because if I had known, I would have moved or extended my stay in order to be able to participate.

“This place, Club La Santa and Lanzarote in general, is a perfect place to train in these Winter months, both for the climate and the good off road tracks in the neigbourhood.

“I will definitely be back next year, probably in December, before the Christmas holidays, to get away of the hassle and stress that reigns in that period of the year, and then again in January, and I will try to plan it to include your race in my schedule!”

It was a proper family affair for Gunn Rita this time, with husband, parents and her new baby accompanying her on the trip.
