Eneko Llanos prepares for Ironman World Championships at Club La Santa

The current Ironman Lanzarote champion Eneko Llanos has been training at Club La Santa as he prepares to take part in the World Championships in Hawaii – he came 2nd in 2008.

While he was in Lanzarote, Eneko took part in the Ocean Lava Triathlon as part of a relay team raising money for the charity TRi W.W.W (Together Reaching Illusions, World Winners Way), which raises money for athletes with diverse disabilities.

Eneko took the 90km cycling leg on the relay with Andrés Martín Ferrer swimming 1900m in the Atlantic Ocean and Fran(cisco) Toledo Gómez racing 21.1km in his wheelchair.

Club La Santa has become a second home to Eneko, who’s one of regular guests as he takes advantage of the sporting facilities, perfect weather and quiet roads on the island – perfect preparation for Hawaii.
