Things To See

Amongst the most notable tourist attractions are the Art, Cultures and Tourism Centres run by Lanzarote’s Island Council, most of them promoted by the island’s famous artist César Manrique who, in his desire to preserve the unique character of the island’s landscapes and structures, managed to turn them into genuine works of art, forming part of what now best symbolizes the island of Lanzarote.
These Centres are:
- Timanfaya National Park (also known as Fire Mountains)
- Jameos del Agua
- Cueva de los Verdes
- Mirador del Río
- Jardín de Cactus
- Monumento al Campesino & Museum
Also worth visiting is the former house of the artist, La Fundación de César Manrique.
For organised excursions or car rental, check with our corresponding departments at Club La Santa.
