Many athletes spend a great deal of time and money training for their Ironman races, only to loose it all with bad preparation during the last part of the taper period. We have decided to put on a camp to rectify this.
The camp offers you a fantastic opportunity to get yourself prepared for racing. It will be an event where you will have the chance to meet other athletes from all around the world while being coached and trained for the big day.
We will arrange the swim training sessions each day to ensure you do the right amount of training in the 50M pool, the lagoon at Club La Santa and the actual course in Puerto del Carmen.
Biking will be on parts of the course, while the run will be mainly around the Club La Santa resort.There will also be a bus trip available taking you round the bike and run courses. Throughout the week our team of coaches will be on hand to instruct and help you.
Remember to bring your swim equipment, wet suit, bike shoes, pedals and helmet. All participants must ride with helmets, as it is a law in Spain. No helmet – no ride.
The Coaches
Phil Price
Coach at Club la Santa. Almost 30 years experience of coaching in Triathlon, Athletics, and Cycling. Welsh Triathlon Coach and Manager. Former Welsh Veteran 5 km track Champ, and many times County Champion.
The instructor team will include experienced coaches both male and female, and throughout the week members of the Green Team will assist.
Remember to bring your swim equipment, wet suit, bike shoes, pedals and helmet. All participants must ride with helmets, as it is a law in Spain. No helmet – no ride. Please note that if you want to rent a Club La Santa bike rather than taking your own, you will have to arrange this separately with CLub La Santa UK prior to departure. The price for a bike is around 85 € per week or 18 € a day. It is advisable to book these bikes at time of booking and will be subject to availabilty

All sessions are optional and we will decide what format fits your training and needs, so don’t worry you don’t have to complete every session
Price
The price for the week is 200 € which includes seminars, training and coaching, transportation to Puerto del Carmen/Bike course, service car, a weekly dinner in restaurant “La Casa”, an SIS goodiebag and a special event t-shirt. 50 € has to be paid at the time of booking as a deposit.
In case of cancellation, this money won’t be refunded. You will be contacted regarding payment of the deposit. The final programme will be handed out at the introduction meeting, where the last part of the payment also has to take place.
Pre-registration is required as we have limited number of places available and Club La Santa also reserves the right to change or cancel the event if under subscribed.
