Veteran Badminton Tournament (40 years +)

For the elevanth year running, Club La Santa invites participants to the Badminton Veteran Tournament in Lanzarote.

The actual tournament starts on Monday the 23rd of January and will take place over 2-3 mornings or afternoons depending on the number of competitors.

As in previous years, it will be possible to practice in the badminton hall during the days before the event, allowing participants to get used to the conditions and be prepared for when the tournament begins.

In order to join the tournament, you must arrive at Club La Santa no later than Friday 20th of January, so we have time to make the seeding and tournament plan.

Games will be played in all categories (mens/ladies singles, mens/ladies doubles and mixed doubles) and age groups from 40+ – 70+ combining the strongest groups if necessary.

We do, however, reserve the right to also combine categories and age groups with too few participants.

The tournament is held according to the pool, cup or ”double knock out” system (depending on the number of participants in each category). The rules of the Badminton World Federation will apply.

Club La Santa reserves the rights to make changes. The final programme will be handed out after arrival.

Registration:
You can register individually. However, it is important that you book your stay at the same time as you register. We expect around 70 participants from Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Ireland and the United Kingdom. On the entry form you need to put your date of birth.
